Local community sponsorships
Local community sponsorships provide up to $5,000 for community activities that support equity and inclusivity and help diverse groups to thrive.
You can apply for a local community sponsorship if you are a not-for-profit community organisation in our service area.
We’re looking for projects that:
- give the community the opportunity to gather and celebrate, like community festivals
- are led by our diverse communities, including First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse communities
- promote sustainable water use, like increasing tree canopy, revegetation and habitat restoration.

Some examples of activities and items that we will fund include, but are not limited to:
- program coordination and facilitation
- purchase of materials for events and activities
- marketing materials
- skills development, training, and workshops
- venue hire, including furniture hire or purchase
- project evaluation.
