Payment extensions

Sometimes you need more time to pay your bill. You can apply for up to four payment extensions each year.

Find out if you're eligible

You will need to call us on 13 44 99 if:

  • you have already had an extension on your current bill and still need more time to pay
  • you need an extension for more than four weeks
  • your bill is already past the due date
  • you have a direct debit which is due to be deducted in the next three days
  • your account balance is over $500.00 and has been outstanding for more than three months.

    Note: we’ve temporarily extended our call centre hours. You can reach us by phone Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm (closed public holidays).

Payment extension periods

If you apply for a payment extension over a weekend the start date begins on the next eligible business day.

If your extension ends on a weekend or public holiday, the due date will be the following business day.
