Keep your account safe when using My GWW, Property Plus and other GWW services.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra step when you sign in to confirm it’s really you. This helps protect your information and prevents unauthorised access.
What is multi-factor authentication (MFA)?
Multi-factor authentication is a sign-in process that uses more than one way to confirm your identity.
It combines:
Something you know — your password
Something you have — your phone or an authenticator app
You can verify your identity in one of two ways:
SMS code — a one-time code sent to your Australian mobile number
Authenticator app — a code generated by an app on your smartphone
After entering your password, you will enter a code to sign in securely.
Why MFA is important
Passwords can be guessed, reused, or stolen. MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account.
MFA helps to:
Protect your account if your password is compromised
Reduce the risk of fraud and identity theft
Keep your personal and account information secure
How we protect your privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy.
MFA helps make sure:
Only you can access your accounts
Unauthorised access attempts are blocked
Your personal and account information stays secure
We use MFA as part of our broader approach to protecting your data and meeting privacy and security obligations.
Set up MFA
You will be prompted to set up MFA the first time you register for an online account on My GWW or Property Plus.
