Thriving Communities grants program

In 2025 we awarded approximately $180,000 to 28 community groups and organisations from across our diverse service area.

Thriving Communities grants are awarded at two levels:

You can apply for up to $5,000 to fund a community event or to build or beautify a place for communities to enjoy if you:

• Are a non-profit organisation based in our service region
• Are running a one-off program or event
• Can deliver your activity within financial year 2026/27
• Support equity, opportunity and inclusion in our community        

You can apply for up to $20,000 for projects that will benefit the community beyond the life of the project or create opportunities for locals to learn new skills or lead impactful projects, if you:

• Are a non-profit organisation operating in our region
• Supports development in the region that will leave a lasting impact on your community
• Can commence your activity within financial year 2026/27
