Find applications and processes for working with Greater Western Water (GWW) infrastructure.
Anyone working on any GWW infrastructure (including, but not limited to, pipes, sewers and pumping stations) must follow specific safety processes. They must also ensure consideration of environmental, quality and cultural heritage impacts prior to commencing any works.
The processes listed below are to be followed prior to any approvals and commencement of works.
WorkSafe Victoria defines a confined space is an enclosed or partly enclosed space that has other features that combine to make it potentially dangerous to work in. For example, it's hard to get in and out of, and it may have low oxygen levels, or contain harmful fumes. It may store something that could crush or suffocate, like sand or grain.

Advise the Operations Control Centre (OCC) by emailing confinedspacegf@gww.com.au, if there are any changes to your work party roster.
As a minimum you must ensure: - Meet or exceed the requirements of Compliance code: Confined spaces | WorkSafe Victoria and Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations - All parties involved in the CSE party must be qualified - During works: Maintain stipulated minimum manning levels (3 people for entry, 2 people for non-entry) Note if non-entry work becomes entry requirement e.g. salvaging CCTV camera, please contact OCC to reopen the same permit under revised entry requirements before proceeding. -- 5+ sensors Gas Detectors are available onsite -- Rescue equipment close by as required by the WorkSafe compliance code -- Barrier to exclude pedestrians -- Must call in to the OCC at: start of entry and at exit/close of access barrier of CSE Entry / Non entry when all have exited
