The tables below show maximum results of our annual testing conducted for substances that have an Australian Drinking Water Guideline (AWDG) limit. Our current laboratory method enables us to monitor down to 0.002 micrograms per litre which remains well below the limits set by the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines. For comparison, 1 microgram per litre (µg/L) is equivalent to one part per billion.
2024/25 Maximum test results
These results reflect the AWDG limits that were relevant at the time of testing. If the same results were returned today, they would still meet the new AWDG limits in place from July 2025.
Source location
Perfluorohexane Sulfonic Acid (PFHxS)
ADWG limit: No greater than 0.07µg/L in combination with PFOS
Perfluorooctane Sulfonic Acid (PFOS)
ADWG limit: No greater than 0.07µg/L in combination with PFHxS
Sum Of PFHxS and PFOS
ADWG limit is 0.07µg/L
Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA)
ADWG limit is 0.56µg/L

For comparison, 1 microgram per litre (µg/L) is equivalent to 1,000 nanograms per litre (ng/L). ND – no detectable concentrations. This is based on a limit of reporting for PFOA, PFOS, and PFHxS (the regulated PFAS) which is less than 0.002 micrograms per litre - well below safe limits. * Djerriwarrh Reservoir is no longer used to supply drinking water to our community and has not been part of our drinking water supply strategy for many years.
