These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of Greater Western Water’s online services, including My GWW and/or Property Plus.
1. Agreement
1.1 By using any of our online services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.2 The following words are defined as follows:
Content means all information available through our online services, including without limitation all information, bills, figures, text, materials, graphics, software, tools, results derived from the use of software and tools, advertisements, names, logos, trademarks and includes third party material.
Greater Western Water, GWW, we and us means Greater Western Water Corporation ABN 70 066 902 467.
Loss includes any loss (including loss of profit and loss of expected profit), claim, action, liability, damage, cost, charge or expense, outgoing, payment, diminution in value or deficiency of any kind or character.
Online services means My GWW, Property Plus and any other digital services we provide.
Terms means these Terms and Conditions.
Third party material means third party material provided through My GWW, and material and/or documents relating to or provided by third parties.
Users (you) means any person using our online services.
2. Using our online services
2.1 You agree to:
• use our services lawfully and as intended
• provide accurate and complete information
• keep your details up to date
2.2 If you provide incorrect or incomplete information, we may suspend or cancel your access or application.
3. Your account and security
3.1 Some services require an account, including multifactor authentication (MFA). This adds an extra layer of security by asking for both a password and a second form of authentication via a unique code sent to your registered mobile or authenticator app and email address.
3.2 You are solely responsible for your account and the security and privacy of your account, including passwords or sensitive information attached to that account.
3.3 All personal information you provide to us through your account is up to date, accurate, and truthful and that you will update your personal information if that changes.
3.4 You must keep your account number and password confidential at all times. You must ensure the security of your login credentials and any devices used for MFA. You must not share your MFA codes or password with others. You must not let anyone who does not share your account to use your account number and password.
3.5 You are responsible for all activities that occur through the use of your password.
3.6 Unauthorised use and allocation of passwords may lead to revocation of access to our online services for you or your organisation.
3.7 You must immediately notify us if your password details have been compromised, are known by a third party or there has been unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acting for a business or property owner
4.1 If you act on behalf of a business or property owner, you confirm that:
• you are authorised to act for them and to access content or undertake that action on their behalf, and
• your authority has not been withdrawn.
4.2 You agree that we may rely on that warranty unless we receive prior written notice from you of any change or update to the information provided by you. Any such varied information will be covered by this warranty.
5. Availability and changes
We aim to keep our services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not responsible for Loss caused by: • service outages • system failures outside our control
6. Changes
We may:
• update or change our services at any time
• limit or suspend access
6.1 We may update these Terms. If we do, we will notify you and advise when changes take effect.
7. Online security
7.1 GWW does not accept liability for the security, authenticity, integrity or confidentiality of any actions or communications made through our online services.
7.2 GWW makes no warranties that our online services are free of infection by computer viruses or other unauthorised software. We will not be liable for any loss resulting from any breach of a security measure (including viruses or other unauthorised software).
8. Intellectual property
All Content is owned by or licensed to GWW. You must not copy, reproduce or reuse any Content without our prior written permission.
9. Privacy
We respect your right to privacy. We collect, use and disclose personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
10. Indemnity 10.1 You are responsible for (and you will indemnify GWW against) any Loss or damage arising directly or indirectly to any person arising from any one of the following: a) any breach by you of these Terms; b) any fraudulent or criminal acts or omissions, wilful misconduct by you in relation to, or while using our online services.
11. Limitation of liability
11.1 GWW will not be liable for any loss of any kind resulting from:
a) the use of or inability to use our online services;
b) the use of or reliance on any content provided through our online services. You must rely on your own assessment or seek independent advice in relation to any Content;
c) unauthorised access to or alterations of your actions or communications to or from our online services;
d) activities resulting from the loss or misuse of your account number; password or other access mechanism;
e) statements or conduct of any third party; or
f) any other matter relating to our online services.
12.. Disclaimer of warranties
12..1 Except as specified in these Terms, GWW gives no implied or express warranties in relation to the use of our online services. All warranties are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, expressly excluded.
12..2 GWW makes no warranty that
a) Our online services will meet your requirements;
b) Our online services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; and
c) the content that may be obtained from the use of our online services will be accurate or reliable.
12..3 Our online services may have links to third party websites or services that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party website or service linked to our online services. It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of these third- party websites before using these sites.
13. My GWW (Account Services)
13..1 General use My GWW allows you to manage your water account, view bills and access services.
14. Multi-account user terms
14..1 To use the My GWW multi account you acknowledge that you operate as an eligible managing agent and must:
a) manage five or more properties within our service area;
b) provide evidence of financial authority for properties managed;
c) agree to notify GWW immediately when there is a change to financial authority circumstances; and
d) complete a managing agent registration process.
14.2 By agreeing to these terms, managing agents are bound by the My GWW multi-account payment terms as follows:
a) New accounts must be paid in full (zero balance) prior to registering on My GWW multi-account portal.
b) Accounts must be paid in full by the due date listed on the bill.
c) Payments must be completed via credit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT) on the multi-account portal. For EFT transfers a remittance number must be submitted via the multi account portal to complete the EFT payment.
d) Understand and acknowledge that failure to comply with the above payment terms may result in termination of your My GWW multi-account and managing agent registration.
14.3 To register a multi-account, GWW requires a managing agent to maintain accurate account information including:
a) First and last name for each registered user;
b) Mobile phone number for each registered user;
c) Unique email address for each registered user;
d) Organisation name or operating entity; and
e) Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN).
15. Property Plus (Property Services)
15.1 Eligibility You confirm that you are:
• the property owner, or
• authorised to act on behalf of the owner
15.2 Applications and fees To process applications, you must:
• provide complete and accurate information
• pay all required fees
Please note:
• fees are non-refundable
• some services may require additional fees or conditions
Incomplete or incorrect applications may be delayed, cancelled, or incur additional fees.
15.3 Accuracy of information You confirm that all information provided is true and complete. Incorrect information may result in your application being declined.
16. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria.
