Christmas in Romsey Festival 2024 – Romsey Community Carols, $5,000
This festival engages local businesses, community groups and individuals with a range of festive activities, including decorating and installing 100 Christmas trees, a lights and decorations competition and community carols.

The centre café provides 3-course meals to vulnerable members of the community once a week. This grant will help increase the size of their vegetable garden so they can share it with the community and support the cafe with more fresh produce.

Inaugural Indigenous Round Celebration, $19,445
The round brings together 15 clubs from across Victoria’s western region. A local First Nations artist will create custom artwork for each club’s uniform. A Welcome to Country ceremony will be held prior to each game during this round.

The Project creates relationships between employers and LGBTIQA+ jobseekers. It runs monthly jobseeker sessions and provides practical strategies for workplaces embrace diversity and create inclusive environments for potential employees.

Riddells Creek War Memorial Garden, $5,000
A place for the community to gather and hold ANZAC Day services. The gardens feature Gallipoli rosemary and other plants flowering in red and white (the colours of remembrance). As part of the garden’s rejuvenation, a water tap and pressure pump will be installed.

Look Good, Feel Good, $5,000
This program aims to improve the health and wellbeing of community members experiencing homelessness and poverty by providing showers and hygiene products. It also provides an entry-point for the community to access housing and legal support, medical advice, social inclusion activities and hot meals.

The Queensberry Cup, $5,000
A family-focused event that celebrates the history and diversity of the communities in Melbourne's west. The one-day festival features a billycart race, food stalls, live music and dance performances.
