Bringing Customer Care Days to local communities in Wyndham and Brimbank
25 May 2026
Greater Western Water (GWW) is making it easier for customers to get the help they need, with Customer Care Days being held at convenient community locations across Tarneit, Sunshine, Sunshine West, St Albans, Werribee and Point Cook this June.
Customer Care Days staff will be available to help customers understand their bills, explain charges, discuss payment options, and resolve queries on the spot wherever possible. If a question can’t be fully answered on the day, customers will leave with clear next steps and a guaranteed follow‑up.
GWW General Manager, Customer Experience, Terence Alvares said the program reflects GWW's commitment to being accessible and available to all customers.
"We know some customers prefer speaking to someone in person rather than over the phone," Mr Alvares said.
"We want to be as approachable as possible and we don't want our community to feel like they can't access support or are left with unanswered questions. That's why our Customer Care Days exist, to give customers the opportunity to sit down with our team, ask questions and get practical support in a way that suits them," he said.
An important part of the Customer Care Day program is partnering with local community organisations, libraries and community centres, so customers can access support in spaces they already know and trust.
West Welcome Wagon Chief Executive Officer, Colette McInerney, said the partnership has strengthened their Community Reach Out Days by bringing essential services directly to the community.
"Our Community Reach Out Days have always offered items like clothing, shoes and toiletries through a pop‑up shop, where people can choose what they need with dignity and choice," Ms McInerney said.
"Partnering with Greater Western Water expanded that experience, bringing in direct engagement with a service provider and removing the intimidation of walking into an office," she said.
"Our clients really value that they can do more than just select items, they can also get help with their bills in the same visit.
"It breaks down barriers in an informal setting. If English isn't your first language, navigating phone systems or written communication can be very challenging, which is why having a friendly, face‑to‑face interaction with a customer care team makes an immediate difference," Ms Mclnerney said.
Customers are encouraged to make a booking to guarantee a time slot, but walk‑ins are welcome.
