Applications are open for the next round of community sponsorship funding that will provide support for events from the heart of Melbourne to the city’s growing west and surrounding regional townships.
We are offering the sponsorship funding for events being held across our service area between January and June 2022.
The biannual sponsorship program, which awarded $33,000 to 16 community groups in July, helps people across Melbourne’s west connect and celebrate what makes our region great.
Greater Western Water’s Acting General Manager Strategy and Partnerships, Leeanne Darmanin, said the funding is available for a range of activities that support people to connect with their community.
“Bringing people together safely is more important than ever and we recognise the vital role that local groups and volunteers play in fostering community spirit.
We’re proud to help community groups bring their events to life, as we know the positive impact they can have in our suburbs and towns.”
All events must operate within the COVIDSafe settings and guidelines that apply at the time of their event.
Greater Western Water’s service area includes Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melbourne (north of the Yarra River), Melton, Moonee Valley, Wyndham, Yarra and parts of Hume (including Sunbury), Macedon Ranges and Moorabool.
