Maree Lang has resigned from her role as Managing Director of Greater Western Water. This decision was mutually agreed with the Board, reflecting a shared understanding that this is the right time for a leadership transition. Maree's final day will be 1 August 2025.
GWW Chair Lisa Neville said, "Maree has made a significant contribution to GWW in her four years with us, and during her time at City West Water before that. We thank her for her dedicated leadership during a period of major transformation.
"This leadership transition marks an important moment for GWW and the communities we serve. We remain focused on delivering real improvements for customers and strengthening trust through the changes ahead."
Maree Lang said, "GWW's work matters deeply to the people and communities we serve, and I've been privileged to work alongside a team so committed to making a difference. Now it's time to pass the baton, and I do so with confidence in GWW's future."
Looking forward, the Board has appointed an interim Managing Director in Craig Dixon who will ensure GWW's program of improvements continues at pace. Craig is currently Executive General Manager, Service and Asset Lifecycle at Melbourne Water and will join GWW on secondment from 21 July.
A national recruitment process will begin shortly to appoint a permanent Managing Director.
"We remain firmly focused on improving customer experience and delivering reliable services for our communities," Ms Neville said.
