We’re simplifying how you receive the annual Parks Charge. From 1 July 2023, property owners who previously received a separate bill for the Parks Charge will instead have it included on their usual Greater Western Water (GWW) bill.
The charge will be listed separately on your bill so you can see how much it is.
If you already receive the Parks Charge as part of your GWW bill, nothing will change for you. We collect the charge for the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), usually between July and September. This helps Parks Victoria look after some of Melbourne’s most iconic parks, trails, zoos and waterways, like the Melbourne Zoo and the Shrine of Remembrance.
