While local water sources are used for drinking water supply whenever possible, source changes throughout the year are important to help us meet the water needs of the region’s growing population.
Customers in these towns might notice a slight change in the taste and smell of their tap water during the changeover to Rosslynne Reservoir. The water meets all required drinking water standards – the change in taste and odour is actually due to the different water treatment processes we use for local source water storages, compared to when your drinking water is sourced from Melbourne.
