Romsey Water Filtration Plant

Project overview

We’re investing $27.8 million to upgrade the Romsey Water Filtration Plant (WFP), located near Romsey and Glenfern roads.

This project will ensure a reliable supply of drinking water for the growing communities of Romsey, Monegeetta and Kerrie.

The upgrade will increase treatment capacity from 2.65 million litres per day to 4.6 million litres per day.

It will also Chlorination is the addition of chlorine to the water supply to destroy microorganisms.

Gisborne Recycled Water Plant upgrade

Project overview

We’re investing over $55 million in a major project to upgrade the Gisborne Recycled Water Plant (RWP), located at Haywood Drive in Gisborne.

The upgrade involves building a new treatment facility at the existing site to increase the capacity and includes the installation of new energy-efficient technology.

Construction is completed and we’re currently carrying out operational testing. The plant is expected to be operational by late 2025.

Collaboration leads the way towards a sustainable future
